Adoption Policies

All potential adoptees must:

• be over 18 years old
• demonstrate knowledge appropriate to the care and well-being of the pet, including how to introduce a new cat to resident cats, dogs, or children that might reside in the home
• be able to provide adequate care for their new pet.  This includes shelter, food, veterinary care, and, of course, love. agree to a home-visit to ensure an appropriate environment.
• agree to all provisions of the adoption contract, including the provision requiring the adoptee to return the cat to Cali and Friends if the adoptee finds they are no longer able to care for their pet.
• agree to keep the cat indoors at all times unless on a leash or in an enclosed catio.

• Fill out an adoption application
• Schedule a home-visit
• If approved, your new feline friend can move in soon after!

All cats and kittens are vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas, tested for FIV and Feline Leukemia, and spayed/neutered and microchipped. Some cats may receive additional treatment for injuries or illness. All adoptees will be provided with their new cat's medical histories.
