We rely heavily on donations to fund our rescue operation, including donations from our own pockets.
It all started with a muddy 4-week-old kitten. She was found in the midst of a downpour, cold, shivering, and alone. We took her in, cleaned and warmed her, and gave her food. We soon learned that she was paralyzed in her back legs, but we didn't give up on her. She snuggled into our hearts. We named her Cali.
One became two, and two became three. Before we knew it, we were rescuing cats, giving them our love, providing veterinarian care, and helping them find their purrfect home..
Many of our cats have special needs. Some we've chosen to keep because their needs are great, making it difficult to find good homes for them. Others- those with injuries or treatable illnesses- we've been able to treat and find homes for. Still others, we've poured our love and resources into and yet been unable to save.
Each cat takes a piece of our hearts with them.. We grieve for those we've lost in death, but rejoice in those we've saved.
